Each CCC package is traditionally installed with a 2.4 GHz grid dish antenna on the outside of the home near the roof line, sized at approximately 3 ft by 1 ½ ft. Alternative antennas are available for an additional fee. We have pictured both the traditional antenna, as well as the alternative panel antenna. At the antenna we place a weatherproof box and radio configuration. This is traditionally installed with a DSS or J arm near the roof line. If a roof installation is required, a fee for the tripod will be added to the installation cost. From the antenna and radio we will enter the home with Cat5 wire (similar to phone wire) and power the equipment with a POE device. Residential Customers can assume if they purchase a multiple computer or private HotSpot package, an internal access point for wired or wireless access will be included. The internal access point includes a separate power supply. This is different from the single computer package that includes only a single wired connection for inside the home and only requires power for the POE device. The single computer package is limited to the single connection and does not include an internal wireless network. CCC is happy to upgrade a single computer package to a package that includes a wireless internal network. All packages include a 1 year warranty on all installed components Excluding tampering or electrical damage. Equipment must be under power 12 months a year to qualify for warranty. The installation equipment uses standard grounded electrical outlets and has an average power draw equal to a 60 watt light bulb. All installations listed include only drilling through 1 easy to access outside wall. All wired connection within 10 feet of access point will be included at no additional fee. Due to restrictions, CCC does not bury Cat5 wiring. Cat5 wiring, home networking and additional configurations are available and can be quoted separately. CCC offers a speed minimum of 384 K by 384 K with 1.5 to 3 Meg burstables. This is a symmetric package; meaning download (to your computer) and upload (from your computer) are generally equal. Dialup can only achieve at its highest speed 54 K total; users are aware that it is highly unlikely speeds will reach 22 K by 22 K. Additionally, dialup users do have the required speed for newer internet resources such as bill pay and banking sites. CCC minimum speed is over 10 times faster than dialup. DSL phone line and cable service talk about speed maximums, like surfing at 3 Meg. The described speed applies only to download; while Upload is often capped at 128 K. This is your potential speed only, as you are limited by the quality of the line in the ground, to or in you home, and distance from central office. These companies do not offer a speed minimum. CCC is able to avoid these limitations by utilizing a wireless backbone. Most repeaters sites in the CCC network are 2.4 GHz and 2.4 GHz long range, which require line of sight. Long range and 900 MHz configurations are alternative configurations that may be utilized to provide service. Each alternative is available at a premium, but will only be applied if required. These configurations are occasionally required to cut through interference created by trees, noise and distance. Alternatively, CCC can develop a network service zone to provide broadband service to an entire apartment complex, subdivision, condo association, marina, public park, or any other community requiring service. Wireless service can be achieved by utilizing a roof mount, beach mount, on the side of building. For any location that has line of sight within approximately 12 miles of one of CCC's repeaters. If our current infrastructure can not currently provide your location service, bring signed commitment from ten additional customers in your immediate area, and we will build the network to your neighborhood. |
